    Everything About The ‘Logo’

A Logo is an emblem, design, or symbol that identifies the identity of the company and/or organization you are working on. These are found or printed on your products and services making them recognizable to the consumers.

Basically, logos seem like an opening statement or image for your software development company. However, a logo might seem like it plays an important role, but it isn’t. It simply is a logo that distinguishes your company from the others. It is a symbol that isn’t your brand but a representation of the whole company in the industry.

7 Steps in Designing a Software Development Company Logo

Logo designs are not to be taken lightly. It must be well-designed considering every factor during the whole process. Of course, there is various design software but knowing what are’s and for whom the company is serving will make the whole process easier. Here’s a process of how logos are created:

    1. Brief and Concise

creating a logo design and creative brief

When starting a logo design, it is ideal to have a piece of brief and concise information about the company. Also, understanding the goals, products, and services of the company can help in the overall design.

Moreover, gathering information from various workers or employees can make the whole picture clearer. Every designer has their preference. With this in mind, having a brief and concise idea of what the company offers will make it easier to start a logo draft.

    2. Gather Factual Information

Gathering factual information only happens when you conduct detailed research on the company and the prospect users. Here are some know-hows on gathering information:

    • Ask around and jot down notes about why people would be interested in the products and services of your company.
    • Research about what kind of colors, designs, and key points you want and expect from the logo design.
    • Check other company logos to get the feel of what the market wants. Don’t forget to do this process to avoid missing the links and important strokes in your design.
    • Study colors, designs, fonts, and themes to have comparisons.

    3. Do Sketches

This is by far one of the most important parts of the process. It is ideal to sketch or draft a logo design the moment you get to think of it. Overlooking simple ideas might make your logos look different or somehow miss a little detail.

Start by sketching your own designs and ideas. This process is a great help in boosting your creativeness. Check other companies’ logos but do now duplicate or company their design. Create your own strokes and from this, you can come up with an authentic logo design.

    4. Use Digitized Software

Once the sketches are done, you can proceed in making a digitized copy of them by using online software like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other counterparts. Experiment with various colors, themes, and other combinations to have that perfect logo design that you want.

Also, create multiple logo samples providing various variations and designs while still minding the information gathered. With this, you can have multiple logos to choose from.

    5. Present the Logo Design

Keep in mind that the fonts must complement the colors utilized in the design. Moreover, you must use the right fonts and strokes.

Thus, use a color that works well with the industry you are aiming to be in. Present at least 2-3 design variations to give options to people who would check the design.

    6. Value Feedbacks

Once the design team gives their feeds, take heed and do your best to accommodate those feedback. Those little things that they noticed can have a great impact on the overall design of the logo. Try to see the logo from their perspective and do changes based on the feedback given.

Provide necessary changes and give 2-3 variations that will be a new sample or logo to be presented. After the presentation, gather the feedback and do changes until the team decides on which design to go with.

Here are: 5 tips to structure your logo design presentation.

    7. Submit the Final Logo Design

As mentioned above, the chosen logo design will undergo another finalization process before laying it out in the open. Finalize the whole logo and submit it with a supporting file that explains why it was designed as presented.

In case of any confusion, one can see the whale design process as written on the supporting files provided in the submission. Now, all left is the production of the said logo.
