  • All major businesses have one thing in common – an eye-catching logo. While it might appear as a simple design printed on the company’s products, it goes a long way as it’ll define the brand and tells customers what the business is all about. In this article we discuss Things To Consider When Designing Logos For Digital Agencies.

If you run a digital agency that works with B2B clients, such as Manchester PPC Agency, then you want clients to easily recognize your business as well as to stand out from the competition, which can be achieved by a logo. Since there are a lot of factors to consider, there’s more to designing the perfect logo than most people think.

Let’s take a closer look at logos and the factors to keep in mind when designing one for your digital agency.

    1. Understanding the Importance of a Logo For your Agency

A logo will be the first thing that customers see when they’re searching for services that your business can offer.

If the logo is well-designed, attractive, and eye-catching, it’ll instantly grab the attention of potential clients and make them want to find out more about the business.

Therefore, a logo has a huge impact on the business brand. Furthermore, it’ll be in almost all of your business marketing materials, such as business cards, business websites, as well as products that you’ll offer to customers.

It pays, therefore, to have a logo that makes the best first impression. Hiring a professional can help achieve the best logo for your digital agency.

    2. Identify Your Brand Identity

Grabbing the attention of customers is one thing, but you also want your business logo to communicate your brand identity. Think of it as the business personality and what makes you special.

However, before you can communicate the business personality, you want to understand and define it first. You can do this by asking yourself a couple of questions, such as:

    • What services do we offer?
    • What makes us better than the competition?
    • What makes us special?
    • What words do we want our customers to define us with?
    • How would we define ourselves in three words?

By answering these questions, you can create a logo that portrays the message in the design. That way, as soon as clients see the logo, they can see your personality and tell if you’re the right business for them.

    3. Get Ideas and Inspiration

Now that you’ve defined your business personality, it’s time to brainstorm. Think about all the ideas that you may want to include in your logo. Furthermore, keep in mind that two minds or more are better than one. Call all departments in a meeting and get everyone to offer their ideas.

Also, try and look at different logos from competitors and other top businesses, and see which concepts you like and which you may want to include in your logo. These should be ideas that complement your business brand and personality.

    4. The Design

Now that you have a few ideas on the board, it’s time to see how you can incorporate the best of these into the design of the logo.

This means choosing the right colors, words, graphics, as well as typography and fonts. You’ll also need to choose the design aesthetic, such as classic, modern, playful, quirky, retro, or vintage.

Designing the logo means picking the best of each component and integrating it into the logo. Furthermore, you also want to make sure that each component works well with each other.

Also, keep in mind that different colors evoke different emotions. Thus, to come up with the one that suits your business brand the best, it’s important that you take the time to study and understand the different colors.

    5. Work Closely with Your Designer

With all these ideas, it’s best to work closely with your designer. Try and provide them with as much information as possible about your business and goals.

Also, it’s always a good idea to be open to suggestions. Keep in mind that the designer is someone who has been working in the field for a long time, hence they’ll have plenty of experience.

They may suggest making a few changes that are going to result in an even better logo.

    Final Thoughts

There’s a lot of time and planning that goes into designing the best logo for your digital agency. Start by brainstorming ideas and see what your competitors and other businesses have come up with. Then, engage your designers and work closely with them to create the perfect logo for your business.
